And here's the Environment column as to "Where do the leading presidential candidates stand on the issue of climate change and other environmental issues?"
The 2008 presidential election could very well have a big impact on a wide range of environmental issues, especially climate change. Hillary Clinton is concerned and given a prime importance to Environment as a first lady and focused on environmental effects on children’s health. She's worked with Senator Boxer to propose the Children's Environmental Protection Act, a bill to require the government to set health and safety standards at levels that protect children. Energy Independence and Global warming will be the two top most priorities for her.
A lot more what others have to say and you find the Environment column with concerns of Global warming.
The recent Fourth International Conference on Environmental Education was held in Ahmedabad from 26th-28th November for a sustainable future. Though I do not find Politicians here much involved in Environment and Global changes concerns, here's the CEE dedicated to global warming concerns. Their new project 'Increase your Handprint, decrease your Footprint' is aiming to make the world more sustainable. You need to ask yourself what you do at individual, community, national and global level. The handprint analyses your positive impact on the three aspects of sustainability: environment, society and economy. Check here for their new website to be launched and if you are a Web Designer, apply soon to join their project.
Protecting our environment with necessary safeguards is of the utmost importance. We owe a clean and pollution free environment to future generations.
